In order to realize his life long dream of becoming a professional race car driver, Miguel Franco created a training program called Top Performance to compete in the 1997 Northern California Formula Mazda Championship. The project was sponsored by Microlite/Rayovac in Brazil, the leading Brazilian consumer battery manufacturer. It had over 360 participants from the Recife and São Paulo plants, including the CEO and factory workers.
